Following Saipem (Eni Group) news, 3B is glad to know that Firenze FPSO will enter in service in August this year in the Aquila field, in the Adriatic Sea, operating in a water depth of 815 m. Our company has been part of Saipem Aquila project team and was in charge of several task mainly related to hull structure design such as the 15 service years steel renewal study and hull strength and fatigue assessment, basic design of structural interfaces between the hull and topsides, cranes and other items.

3B has been confirmed part of the Site Surveying Team for the construction of 176.000 DWT Bulk Carriers. After positive sea trials of the first ship, 3B will continue surveying on second and third ship at "New Times Shipbuilding Co. Ltd" (Jiangsu Province - P.R.C.). The survey is expected requiring the attendance on site till the first quarter of 2012.

Green Passport Plus according IMO Res.179(59). 3B has prepared the Hazardous Material Inventory for n.2 already-built LNG carriers, 40.000 m3. 3B tasks have included the material inventory report, the onboard survey, the chemical analysis of the sampled materials. The final inventory report has been prepared fully compliant with IMO Resolution 179(59), Green Passport Plus. This is the first application in Italy of the mentioned IMO resolution to already-built ships.

3B joins the Commissioning Team of FSRU Livorno Project in Dubai (UAE). 3B has been confirmed part of the Commissioning Team of the SAIPEM (ENI Group) FSRU Livorno Project (FSRU TOSCANA); the Commissioning Team focus activities during all the conversion works of the unit at Drydocks World Dubai (UAE). 3B will continue setting commissioning and test procedures of the E.R. and Deck equipment and systems. Activities are planned till December 2011.
